Director's Message

The vision of University Institute of Applied Management Sciences is "to create and develop a nodal centre of excellence in the "niche domains".

Since its inception, UIAMS has established itself as an institution par excellence in the sectoral domains providing excellent academic programmes specially designed in sunrise sectors, conducting research, nurturing and supporting entrepreneurs, contributing to society and focusing on nurturing talented managers to face the VUCA world. We aspire to bring together academia and applied perspectives of management sciences through our unique blend of functional and sectoral programmes and in that sense it is UIAMS is an innovator in the course designing as we offer Ph.D and MBA (Sectoral) Programmes in the domain of Banking and Insurance, Retail Management, Capital markets, IT and Telecommunication, Infrastructural Management, Hospital Management and Pharmaceutical Management. Our mission is to fulfill industry needs and requirements for specialized managerial skills.

We have been continuously working to induce a more practical, social and industry oriented curriculum that brings the students back to the roots of Indian management systems yet prepares them for a rich career. We host a series of seminars, workshops, expert talks, live projects, summer internships, summer exchange programmes and industrial visits with the view of providing experiential learning through simulated or real environments. We strive to inculcate a mindset of critical thinking and problem solving.

The faculty of UIAMS is exceptionally talented and experienced in diverse domains and contribute towards research in socially and industry relevant issues. The key is not just brilliant faculty members but also peer-to-peer learning.
